Message from the CEO

Aloha Patients and Community members,

In these uncertain times marked by political shifts and financial strain, Molokai Community Health Center remains committed  to provide primary care, behavioral health, and dental care to our community.

I’m humbled and proud that I have the opportunity to lead MCHC and have felt the open arms of Molokai island ‘ohana, who have shared with me their expectations. I am learning that Molokai has always been a place of resilience, compassion, and unity.  At MCHC, we are deeply aware of the challenges many of you are facing. Whether it’s access to care, food insecurity, economic hardship, or the stress of navigating a changing healthcare landscape, we see you, we hear you, and we are here for you, because our staff  are your neighbors, your cousins, your sisters, your brothers and we will be here to get through the tough times together.

Despite the obstacles, MCHC’s mission remains unwavering: To provide and promote accessible comprehensive individual and community health care to the people of Molokai with respect and aloha. We are not just a health center—we are a family, an economic engine for the community and a place of healing.

MCHC is strongly committed to provide the necessary services for this community. It’s our promise that we will continue to fight for funding, advocate for your needs, and innovate to serve you better. It’s the belief that together, we can get through any storm.

I am proud of our dedicated staff who show up every day with courage and kindness.  They continue to teach me many things, but mainly the meaning of aloha. I am grateful for our patients, who trust us with their health and their stories. And I am inspired by our Molokai community, which continues to lift each other up.

Let us move forward together with hope in our hearts and strength in our unity. Together, we will continue to build a healthier, more just future for our community.
